This piece is so close to my heart. The leaf was preserved after a hike I took in a very tumultuous life stage. I carried this leaf as I walked, and quickly realized the tighter I held onto it, the more the wind threatened to snap it in half. On the contrary, when I held the stem loosely and allowed it to move in my hand as I walked, the wind highlighted the beauty in the texture, and the way it caught the light as it moved. So it is with women.
