This piece is a bold step for me. I started this piece the week that Roe v Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. I struggled with the differing opinions I read, even more so after recently giving brith to the greatest blessing that was my own unplanned pregnancy. The piece sat for weeks, and I only picked it back up after walking alongside a close friend through her decision about an unwanted pregnancy. Though I have my own personal views on legislation around this issue, I know one thing to be true:

Legislation will not play the role of loving support- which is the truest, realest thing that women need today.
